Vision Statement

It is the vision of Mt. Zion Baptist Church to be a vital force in the community introducing people to Jesus Christ by seeking to save the lost, serving the needy, creating and enriching relations with our heavenly Father by maintaining relevant worship, This shall be done by helping believers grow into a fully devoted relationship with Jesus Christ - teaching them Christ-like maturity and ministry skills .so that they may fulfill God's mission in their lives and through this Church in order to magnify God's name.

Values Statement

The Mt. Zion Baptist Church recognizes the following values:

The right of every person to have the right to a presentation of the gospel at his/her level of understanding.
The need of every person to have a biblical moral compass to guide and protect him/her throughout life.
The possession of gifts by every believer, which can be developed and used to strengthen the Church.
Every believer has a purpose and responsibility in advancing the global mission of the Church of our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ.

Purpose and Objective

Mt. Zion Baptist Church exists for the purpose of communicating the gospel of Jesus Christ, His atonement, His Lordship, for the encouragement of His Saints. The Church is comprised of members who have confessed their sin and their commitment to Jesus Christ and His leading of their lives. The Church is commissioned by Jesus Christ to maintain and to expand His Kingdom through the ongoing, Spirit-led work of Evangelism, Bible study, Worship, Prayer and Fellowship:  Worship: We purposefully pursue joyful worship that exalts Jesus Christ and reaches people. Evangelism: Our life mission is to introduce people to the saving grace and love of Jesus Christ. Fellowship: We seek to be a spirit-filled, unified body of believers who encourages each other with a faithful and joyful love of Jesus Christ. Ministry: We strive to meet the physical, emotional and spiritual needs of our community by humbly serving as vessels of Jesus' love and compassion. Discipleship: We seek continual growth, development and transformation through learning more about Jesus through Bible study; persistent prayer, personal devotions, small group fellowship and corporate worship. ordinances and accept Jesus Christ as their Lord and Savior.

United by the grace of God in Christian experience and doctrinal belief, the members of
this Church recognize and receive Jesus Christ as Supreme Lord and Lawgiver and the Holy Bible
as the inspired Word of God and agree to accept it as our only rule of faith and practice. We
recognize no obligation of religion or of conscience unless contained therein. Therefore, our
objectives are: To maintain worship and observe Christian Ordinances. To study and practice Christian principles as taught in the New Testament. To save the lost at home and abroad. To promote and advance Christ's Kingdom throughout the world. To fellowship and worship with God-fearing people. To be an independent organization of spiritually reborn, water baptized - through immersion, persons who profess faith in Jesus Christ; acknowledge Christian ordinances and accept Jesus Christ as their Lord and Savior. To provide a community sanctuary for acknowledging and teaching Baptist doctrines in accordance with the-Church Covenant.
